About this vintage design furniture
An impressive acid etched copper table on a walnut base attributed to German artistdesigner Bernhard Rohne. Rohne was active in the 1960 and 70’s and was famous for producing unusual tables in a brutalist style. His favoured material was copper and his designs utilised acid etching and hand patination to create vivid textured landscapes on copper sheets and plates. This particular table has no obvious signature or mark but is very similar to some of his earlier work, and in any event is a fine table in its own right. It’s in good vintage condition with some marks to the top and base commensurate with age.
