A stunning and in as New condition teak and Afromosia DeskDresserVanity with 4 drawers designed by John Herbert as part of the ’Codan’ range for the renowned high-quality maker Younger of Great Britain. Younger were renowned for their high-quality workmanship and mainly retailed through Heals. –Superb original condition. Amazing Quality all over Remarkable higher quality than most of the desks of the period, beautifully simplistic design, constructed impressively from solid teak (except the drawer interiors etc), this is very unusual as most mid-century furniture (including danish) were constructed using veneers. Dimensions: Width: 170.0 cm Height: 68.0 cm Depth: 47.0 cm Very hard to find these days, amazing desirable piece, in superb as brand new condition - it would make a great addition to any vintagemid-century inspired interior. About the designer
John HERBERT
John Herbert was a British industrial designer, born in 1929 and died in 2007. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London in the 1950s and began his career working for the English furniture manufacturer Ercol.
