About this vintage design furniture

Vintage table from 1960 in very good condition, nice patina on the base, walnut petals. Designer: Richard Schultz Brand : Knoll Colour: wood Material: walnut, metal Dimensions: Ø 107cm x H 71cm Knoll's petal table was created in 1960 by Richard Schultz who took his inspiration from a weed growing in Pennsylvania, Queen Anne's Lace. The main feature of this table is its 8 petal top. These petals rest independently on an aluminium stem which allows them to expand or contract according to the climate. Its star-shaped base is made of cast aluminium. It was created to accompany the Bertoia chairs. Its success was such that the table was directly exhibited at the MoMA in New York.
