About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century sommerso vase made by Mandruzzato (Murano, Italy) in the 1960s. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. The front and back surfaces of this vase are flat and smooth. The sides have a textured surface. The original label ("Made in Murano Italy") is slightly worn but still intact. Excellent vintage condition.
