About this vintage design furniture
Vintage walnut stringcourse, Scandinavian style, by the designer Alfred Cox and sold by the Heals store in the 1950s. We like the atypical shape of its solid teak top with its curves, brass handles and pretty wood grain. The furniture consists of: - two hinged-door compartments with shelves - three drawers, one of which has a removable covered storage compartment Labeled by the publisher. We appreciate its minimalist form typical of the best modernist designers of the time. Of very good manufacture, it is in very good condition with some small imperfections but quite correct, considering its age (traces of use). The stringcourse has been completely cleaned and with a new oiled finish, the wood has regained all its original lustre and colours. Large storage capacity, good size, and very nice style. Dimensions: H78.5 x W172 x D49.5cm.
