Gio Ponti's Dezza lounge set in aubergine leather and mottled grey fabric 2014 reissue of the prestigious Poltrona Frau brand (Italy) Designed in 1965, the Dezza is a comfortable, light and sturdy armchair that has been accurately reproduced in a refined reissue that enhances its formal beauty and uniqueness. The legs are available in ash painted black with open pore paint. In spite of its imposing size, the Dezza chair has been designed for easy handling and transport. The name Dezza is a reference to the legendary building of the same name, built in 1957 by Gio Ponti, which constitutes both his house and his studio. Designed in 1965. The structure of the seats is designed with a fine frame, a distinctive feature of the designer, which underlines its simplicity. Massive in appearance, almost monumental, this furniture displays an unexpected lightness that creates a striking contrast. The set is presented in good condition, compatible with age and use. No stains or snags on fabrics that can be removed by zipper. The set comes with two matching cushions. Sofa: W138xH70xD78cm and 40cm high seat height. 1891 - 1979Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an Italian designer, architect, writer and teacher, considered one of the most influential designers of 20th-century Italy. Born in Milan, he studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and began working as an architect in 1921.
