What is travertine?
Travertine travertine, also known as "limestone tuff" is a natural stone of limestone origin that forms near water springs or hot springs. Popular in ancient times, and formerly quarried in Italy, this stone was used for many historical monuments such as the Colosseum. Today, travertine is largely quarried in Turkey.
The travertine is an aesthetically pleasing yet durable rock with irregular light colors. Depending on these rough edges, it can meet shades of beige, white, gray, yellow, brown, or even ochre.
