Pierre CRUEGE

After studying at the École des Arts Appliqués in Bordeaux, he worked for design companies such as Airborne, where he created the famous "AA" armchair. He then founded his own design company, collaborating with prestigious brands such as Steiner, Cinna and Knoll.

His creations are characterized by a bold use of form and color, as well as by a functional and ergonomic approach. His designs include seating, lamps, tables and home accessories.

Pierre Cruège has won numerous awards for his work, including the Prix René Gabriel in 1969 and the Prix du Centre Georges Pompidou in 1978. His creations can be found in the permanent collections of museums such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and MoMA in New York.

He also taught design at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris and the École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre. He died in 1992 at the age of 54.
