Borge LINDAU

Lindau studied at the renowned Konstfack School of Art and Design in Stockholm, graduating in 1959. He went on to work for a number of Swedish design companies, including Nordiska Kompaniet, Källemo and Gärsnäs.

Over the years, Lindau designed a wide range of furniture, from chairs and tables to sofas and shelving. His designs were often characterized by simple geometric shapes and natural materials such as wood, leather and metal.

One of his most famous creations is the "Lilla Åland" (Little Åland) chair, which won the prestigious Swedish Design Award in 1969. The chair is characterized by its elegant shape and bentwood construction.

Lindau was also active as a teacher and mentor to many designers in Sweden, contributing to the evolution of Swedish design during the 60s and 70s.

Today, Lindau's creations are considered classics of Scandinavian design and are still highly sought-after by collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.
