Piero de LONGHI

De Longhi began his professional career in the 1930s, working for the Italian furniture company Cassina. It was here that he developed his distinctive style, characterized by simple, geometric shapes, attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials.

Over the course of his career, De Longhi collaborated with many renowned designers and architects, such as Gio Ponti and Alberto Rosselli. He was also involved in the creation of several design exhibitions, including the famous Milan Triennale.

De Longhi's best-known works include the Leggera chair, the Tavolo Con Ruote table and the Sella armchair, all produced by Cassina in the 1950s and 1960s. Today, these pieces are considered classics of Italian design and are exhibited in museums around the world.

Piero de Longhi died in 1970, but his influence on contemporary design continues to be significant today.
