Sverre Uhnger Clausen was born in Norway in 1984 and studied industrial design at the University of Oslo and Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. He worked for several design companies before co-founding Clausen & Maerus.
Oystein Austad Maerus was born in Norway in 1985 and studied industrial design at the University of Oslo and the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy. Before co-founding Clausen & Maerus, he worked for several international design studios.
Since its creation, Clausen & Maerus has worked for numerous international companies in various sectors, including technology, electronics, furniture and consumer products. The studio focuses on creating innovative, functional products that are aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Their work has been recognized by several international design awards, including the Red Dot Design Award.
