About this vintage design furniture

The bell designed by Arthur Salma is a small work of art, both visual and acoustic. The small bell is made of stainless steel and the handle is made of teak. It has an extremely subtle, yet expressive sound. Arthur Salm (1904-1988) was a German Jew interned in the Dachau concentration camp during World War II. He emigrated to the United States in the 1930s, where his life became a real American success. In 1952 he founded Arthur Salm Inc. in Chicago, Salm was a designer and salesman of the highest quality items. His means of choice was stainless steel, famous for its design of tableware.
