Vintage wall hanging with bird motif, 1950-1960

Large quilted wall hanging from the 1950s/1960s with bird and leaf motifs in muted earthy colors of green, brown, yellow and gold colored details. This quilt patchwork rug is an impressive mid-century art deco tapestry style rug. The tapestry has a long rectangular shape with five loops for hanging. The representation of the four birds is impressive, which are given even more radiance by the quilted fabric. A protective cover is sewn on the back. This wall hanging is in new unused condition and comes from a former furniture store. Slight signs of age are visible - slight abrasion on the fabric is visible in one place, see image. A great mid-century wall decoration to set accents. The delivery does not include a hanging rod. Reference : 269493
