About this vintage design furniture
The midcentury design trend initiated by Danish designers in the 1950s to 1970s was followed in Germany by Eugen Schmidt in those years and brought to the market in the well-known German quality. Soloform was the manufacturer that produced these top design products.
So there are several beautiful chairs and sofas made by Eugen known among midcentury design enthusiasts. Eugen was so involved in the production of his designs that he later took over Soloform and the factory was renamed Eugen Schmidt Soloform.
This elegant sofa has a beautiful teak wooden frame, including a metal construction that can divide the seating area of the sofa and backrest to create a beautiful daybed. This sofa/daybed is original and we suspect that the upholstery has been reupholstered once. 1 part of the sofa has a little deeper seating, but good functional. The general condition of this beautiful sofa is good and matches age and use.
