Papa Bear Pp19 vintage armchair by Hans J Wegner for A.P. Stolen, 1950

It takes a skilled Danish craftsman fifteen days of work to complete its manufacture. Its structure is made of solid wood. Except for the seat cushion, no foam is used: only natural materials such as cotton, birch fiber and horse hair. The papa bear was the first chair produced by PP Møbler and remains the most exclusive of them all. It marked the beginning of a long and passionate collaboration between generations of craftsmen and countless hours of work in the workshop developing prototypes and production techniques for many Wegner models.
