About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful triangular Murano glass vase by Alfredo Barbini (Italy, 1970s). It is made of thick clear/transparent glass with a very light wavy pattern throughout the vase. A teardrop shaped interior suspended above the thick clear cased base. Soft rounded edges. Signed "Barbini Murano" on lower side. Height: 23 cm; width: 8.5 cm; depth: 7 cm. Excellent vintage conditon.
Alfredo Barbini was one of Murano’s leading figures of the 20th century. He was one of a few who embraced minimalism when Murano glass-makers were focused on colorful designs.

About the designer
Alfredo BARBINI
Alfredo Barbini was a famous Italian designer and master glassmaker, born in Venice in 1912 and died in 2007. He began his career in the 1930s working for several glass companies in Murano, an island near Venice known for its production of high-quality glass. Barbini then founded his own company, Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, in 1950.
