About this vintage design furniture

A beautiful dining set, designed by Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof and manufactured in the Netherlands around 1900. The set contains one dining table and three chairs. Made of the highest quality oak wood in a nice, warm brown colour. The seats of the chair have the original fabric upholstery! The frame of the chairs as well as the table all have beautiful carved details. The cross base of the table has crocodile shaped details the leg ends which is an exceptional detail to this eye-catching set. All really well made with an impressive eye for detail, this set is a wonderful find of Dutch design from the early 20th century. Dijsselhof (1866 – 1924), was a Dutch painter involved in the arts and crafts movement. From 1897 he worked on furniture design for the firm E.J. van Wisselingh & Co., Amsterdam. Chair sizes: W. 43 x D. 48 x H. 97 (SH. 44) cm Table sizes: W. 100 x D. 100 x H. 70 cm The set remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
