Pair of dark grey leather Lounge chairs by Horst Brüning for Kill International Horst Brüning designed this lounge chair for German company Kill International in 1967. The model is called ‘6911’. The chair consists of a very solid minimalist steel structure formed in beautiful lines and roundes edges. This pair of well-designed armchairs show a solid construction of delicate lines and round edges. At the back the two thin slats come together and develop into legs, which specialize the design and highlight the admirable craftsmanship. This is a signature style of Horst Brünings work. It is absolutely remarkable that this timeless design is from 1967, it has not aged at all. Like many other designers, Horst Brüning key goals are minimalism, functionality, durability timelessness. He has achieved all of these with this design. Brüning studied Architecture and Interior Design at the College of Graphic Arts in Hamburg until 1956. In 1963 he set up an architecture and design office in Stuttgart. During this period, Brüning encountered Kill International, Kill International is an established and famous manufacturer, who have also produced many designs by Preben Fabricius and Jörgen Kastholm.
